I travel around the world a lot and very much appreciate the chance to get to know many countries and their agricultural industry, enabling me to compare the different ways of agricultural production and solutions to problems. Bottom line, I get the feeling that the entire agricultural sector is looking for sustainability, intelligent solutions and the latest technology with the common aim of feeding our growing population.
To understand ag it is important for policy makers to see that ag is increasingly a global issue and not a national subject anymore.
All producers, not only American producers, should learn from each other to preserve our resources and to increase efficiency. In 2050 we’ll have to feed 9 billion people from diminishing areas of arable farmland.
