AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013 has been named to the U.S. Commercial Service's International Buyer Program (IBP). The event draws a national and international audience of industry professionals with its combination of first-class exhibits, conference-caliber education and high-level networking opportunities.
AG CONNECT is scheduled for January 29-31, 2013 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri. It offers a preview of what’s to come in agriculture in the next several years through new technologies, advanced practices and operating efficiencies that improve quality and yield.
Only a small number of trade shows in the U.S. are selected each year for IBP status; AG CONNECT has been named to the IBP each time the show has been held.
"Thanks to our rigorous competitive selection process, I am confident that IBP-selected shows will provide excellent B2B matchmaking venues for U.S. companies looking to expand their international sales to new markets, or to start exporting. The advantage of the IBP versus other B2B matchmaking service offerings is it enables U.S. companies to meet a breadth of pre-screened prospective buyers from around the world all in one domestic venue,” stated Gary Rand, acting director of the International Buyer Program.
Through the IBP, the U.S. Commercial Service recruits qualified international attendees to the show and facilitates lead generation and customer contacts for exhibitors, to boost their presence in the global marketplace.
The program promotes IBP-status trade shows to a worldwide audience through its overseas Commercial Service Posts and selected embassies and consulates. Key activities under the IBP are U.S. Commercial Service recruitment of official trade delegations to attend the shows and a "matchmaking" service to facilitate buyer-seller interaction and onsite export counseling.
As part of the IBP, AG CONNECT 2013 will operate a comprehensive International Trade Center during the show with services to include interpreters, message centers, phone/fax/e-mail access, and a meeting and lounge area.
AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013 will also provide assistance with travel and housing arrangements for international delegations and will offer show planning and registration material in selected world languages.
